WALK TO DEFEAT ALS 2010
WHAT A GREAT DAY! With 58 people on team GANG GREENE we had a great day. Over 3000 people walking for a little known disease was really, really inspiring! Gang Greene was composed of family, long-time friends, friends from church and friends from Dave's gym. It is always amazing to me that these different groups may already know each other.
Everything started the week before the walk with an afternoon to decorate our tee shirts. Each one had a different look. Kids jumped right in, while adults had to think about what they wanted to do, how they wanted to do it and just gennerally stress.
I bragged a bit that last year's walk was a perfect Oregon day, bright blue skies, puffy clouds and moderate temperatures. Guess I should not brag. This year was a typical Oregon day. Light morning rain, followed by grey skies and occasional showers. Fortunately that doesn't stop much.
