Many people are very exicted about an early ski season on Mt Hood. We are laughing at how we have changed. Yesterday when we got up our outdoor thermomoter read 22, by the afternoon we were up to 29. Today it was 20 at six and predicted to get to 34. So Dave and I are sitting at breakfast reading the paper (well the comics anyway) and he reads the weather. Thursday and Friday should be nice as they are predicting 42 and 44 degree highs. When did we start thinking temperatures in the 40's were nice? When we were on the boat in Mexico we thought the 60's were cold. What happened? Of course, back then I saaid if you had to wear more than shorts and a tee shirt you were wearing to many clothes. Now my usual attire includes long pants, long sleeved sweater, knees socks, a vest or additional sweater and, of course, shoes.
I must admit it is fun to see the changes of the seasos. Most of the leaves are off the trees and there is frost on the roofs. Our lauel hedge looks like it was dusted with powdered sugar and some of the houses look like gingerbread houses edged in white frosting. This is not as much fun for those that have to go out in it, but I get to enjoy it all from inside
Another Adventure
New adventures haven't stopped since we stopped sailing.

beutiful day in the neighorhood
What a super day! Warm with right blue skies. Living in Southern California until 3 years ago I still get excited about the weather changes. Hard rain one day and bright blue sky the next make me really aware of the seasons change. The ever changing color of the leaves on all the trees is a continual amazing sight.
One other thing I have learned is to enjoy a sunny day when we get it for tomorrow it may rain. Somehow the rain is fun in the fall, that is when it shoulld rain (not in the summer).
