second time around

Today Dave had his second chemo treatment and once again he wanted to go by himself.  Before they do anything they do a blood draw and he has to wait for the results. A problem with the machine that reads the blood made the wait a bit longer.  This was not a problem for him. Why you ask?  Because it gave him more time to watch the movie he had on his laptop.  Now tell me when have you sat down to watch a movie in the morning without feeling guilty?  So far he feels good but tomorrow he gets the vaccine again.  One more thing.  When the vaccine spots get itchy he is supposed to put an aloe and vitamin E lotion on the spots.  Today the nurses told hm he was not using enough and the skin was dry.  His reply?  It is a guy thing to not worry about a little dry skin. I think the people getting 6 sessions of the vaccine do have to watch their skin.  Dave will switch to the listeria bacteria at his next round. (and he will not be able to drive himself)  A whole new set of questions will probably show up.  Meanwhile we don't know how to determine if  his body is doing what is supposed to do and is fighting hard.
